Former DEVOURMENT Members Working On New Project

February 26, 2009

Former members of the brutal Texas death metal band DEVOURMENT, Brian "Brain" Wynn (guitar) and Brad Fincher (drums),are reuniting to work on a new project.

Commented Brian: "After many years, Brad Fincher, the original drummer for DEVOURMENT 'Molesting the Depapitated' and '1.3.8.', will be joining forces with me for this future band! We are very excited to both be able to rejoin forces once again! We are looking forward to releasing a followup to our music we wrote with DEVOURMENT on 'Molesting the Decapitated' in 1999 and the '1.3.8.' release! The music and sound of the new project is going to be similar to 'Molesting the Decapitated' and '1.3.8.' but much darker, fuller and crushing than our past project."

In related news, DEVOURMENT is scheduled to enter the studio on March 6 with producer D. Braxton Henry to record its third full-length album, entitled "Unleash the Carnivore". The CD will feature cover artwork by Dan Seagrave, inlay art (including an eight-panel foldout poster) with art by Pär Olofsson, and a new CD maggot design by Mike Majewski. The group says, "Expect nothing less than an intense brutal attack, and a guaranteed face stomping experience, and a slightly different direction from the band."

"Unleash the Carnivore" tentative track listing:

01. Unleash The Carnivores
02. Abomination Unseen
03. Fed To The Pigs
04. Incitement To Mass Murder
05. Crucify The Impure
